"My parents, who are both 94-year old, wanted to remain in the home that they built. However, some changes would need to be made for them to stay healthy and safe. My involvement with the Down with Falls Coalition opened my eyes to the resources available to my aging parents. They had a ramp installed at the back door and grab bars have been installed throughout the home. By making a few home modifications, my parents have been able to remain independent and safe in their home. "
